Badger Flats Gazette Calls for Citizen’s Arrest of Senators on Intelligence Committee After They Refuse to Investigate Leon PanettaSenator Diane Feinstein and Intelligence Committee members to receive letters from Badger Flats Gazette outlining egregious issues CIA-designate Leon Panetta has been hiding during confirmation hearing. badgerflats.com - February 10, 2009
(PRNewsChannel)
/ Monterey, Calif. / A letter drafted by
reporter Gene Forte of the Badger
Flats Gazette calls for investigators from the California Dignitary
Protection Services division to effectuate a citizen’s arrest of
Senator Diane Feinstein and others who have actively ignored his calls
for a deeper look into the past activities of Leon
Panetta, according to Forte.
The
Badger Flats Gazette has already blanketed Monterey County and national
media with investigative material detailing a cover-up of abuse of
public official power by CIA-designate Leon Panetta. Now, Badger
Flats has sent Senator Diane Feinstein and members of the Intelligence
Committee a follow-up letter with regard to information about Leon
Panetta’s dealings in Monterey, according to reporter Gene Forte. The
Intelligence Committee will soon vote on whether or not to confirm Leon
Panetta as the next director of the CIA. “It’s
my impression that the Senators that are seeing some of this information
are simply ignoring it,” says Forte. “That’s a dangerous
course to set upon by Congress where the members are elected to
represent the people. If they ignore the evidence we have, they are
subjecting citizens to danger. It is similar to ignoring
information which led to the events of 9/11.” So
far, the media has failed to report on Panetta’s covering-up of the
abuse of public official power. The Senate has ignored it, but now
they do so at their own peril, says Forte. In
his letter to the committee, Forte writes:
“By your example, you
are signaling to the nations of the world that the United States
cannot be trusted, their public officials including the new director
of the CIA will conceal crimes of their own government against its
own citizens…. Therefore, it is reasonable to expect Mr. Panetta
would certainly conceal any crimes of the American government against
them.” Forte
says he has notified the major media about the same issues and hasn’t
been given the voice to bring the actions of Leon
Panetta to the public. Since it is clear the freedom of the press is
not active in checking the power of the government in this scenario,
Forte wants the members of congress or their highest level staff members
to contact him directly for more information on what could be a turning
point in the Leon
Panetta confirmation hearings. “Any
vote the senators make in favor of Leon Panetta will symbolize their
agreement with everything he is hiding. It sends the message to
citizens that government officials will not hold themselves accountable
for crimes against citizens,” says Forte. According
to Forte, his investigative work is now his way of seeking a redress of
a grievance by government and it must be acknowledged. Forte
has consumed himself with public records and an investigative gumption
over the past seven years looking into an abuse of public official power
by Leon Panetta
in his own hometown/county bipartisan cronies. Forte claims Panetta got
the Monterey Herald, some judges, attorneys and members of the District
Attorney’s Office to look the other way as Panetta’s son’s law
firm, Fenton & Keller, allegedly fixed a real estate case. Forte
brings all of this to the attention of the Intelligence Committee in his
recent letter:
“Your cavalierly ignoring the
5,000lb Badger standing before you with extensive documentation and
evidence indicating that Mr. Panetta along with other public official
cronies and the MediaNews Group have obstructed justice against a citizen
does come with a heavy personal price for your inaction and the violation
of performing your duty.” “The
highest levels of government must see the injustice they are doing to
the American public by not even questioning Leon
Panetta on this issue. The investigation speaks for itself and
we will continue our oversight of government where it has failed to be
checked. Big Badger is watching,” Forte concludes. Glenn
